Mosquito Joe of Metro Detroit is on the hunt for a motivated Mosquito Control Technician to join our team in keeping our customers and community safe from dangerous insects.
Qualifications:

• Able to hoist 40-60lbs of mosquito-fighting gear!
• Willing and able to perform outdoor duties in various weather conditions
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Mosquito control certification or relevant experience is NOT a must but welcomed. We will train and certify any mosquito technician that is up for the job

-Strong knowledge of mosquito biology and control techniques - In-house training will be provided to bring you up to speed

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Strong communication and organizational skills, working together with your team is essential
• Valid driver’s license and squeaky-clean background (We'll check, so no funny business!)
• Comfortable driving a company vehicle
• Confidence to take on any flying insects
• Professional, yet ready to think outside the box and get creative in the fight against mosquitoes
• Friendly, with a smile
• Customer service skills
• Detail-oriented, leaving no leaf or blade of grass unchecked

-Reliable, mosquitoes don't take a day off, and neither will you! - except weekends of course ;)
Responsibilities:

• Put your detective skills to the test as you inspect and assess properties for signs of mosquito activity
• Gear up and take action as you use a variety of methods to control mosquitoes, including larvicide and adulticide treatments
• Stay vigilant and protect our guests from any returning invaders
• Keep detailed records of mosquito activity and treatment methods, documenting your progress
• Maintain and repair mosquito control equipment
• Communicate effectively with other team members and management
• Follow all safety protocols and adhere to industry regulations, safety is always a top priority
• Willing to promote our mosquito control services with enthusiasm and drive

Job Type: Full-time Seasonal
We work, weather permitting, from March/April through October
Pay: starting at $17 per hour
We use a commission based program based on the production value of the route you will be driving
Expected hours: 40 per week
